i’m looking for an unsecured loan of £15000 for debt consolidation with a fair to bad credit rating. it is to be taken out over a period of between 8 and 10 years. as many , if not all sites, give very little if not no information at all, i was wondering if anybody can reccomend a good loan company to call for a quote. i want to make sure i find a company that is not going to hike the %apr drastically over a period of time, few penaltys on over payments or early settlement, and any other benefits that can be reccomended by you. also if you have had a bad deal off a bd credit loan compay i would like to know about that and cross them off my list. any help at all would be much appreciated. thank you.

My 401k loan plan is a fixed payment plan, pay no more or no less. I owe roughly $19K w/ 8% int. (home loan) with 6+ more years to pay off. The debt consolidation loan is for 8.99% for 5 yrs. One caveat ofcourse, is if I miss just 1 payment rate can adjust as high as 27.99! Gotta go w/ autopay deductions.
Doing this will give me more take home pay, but is it worth it?

Hi.

Myself and my husband are in serious debt and I cannot see a way of getting through it.

We have a large unsecured loan with Northern Rock which means we can’t go down the IVA route.

We have been getting advice about it and in the process of starting a debt management plan but if we pay what they suggest it could take 20 years to clear our debts.

I feel so depressed and exposed talking to complete strangers about our financial troubles and I feel like I have let my children down.

We have sold our house and live in a really grotty hole and I feel like I can’t go on any longer.

I don’t know how we got into debt. We don’t go on holidays, have expensive cars or even have a social life. The last time we went out was 18 months ago.

I cannot bear it any longer.
