I am having a hard time choosing between solution to my debt problem. i have around $8000 in credit card debts right now. All of them are in collection agencies now and I have no means in paying all of them and all are delinquent too. I’ve been thinking of doing a debt program. I’ve been looking around and have seen debt consolidation programs, debt settlement programs, consumer credit counseling, credit counseling agencies and debt management plan… and I have a feeling there are more I don’t know of. My question is which one would be the best option. By now I know my credit is bad and I have nothing to put into collateral. I’m not really comfortable in doing anything online because I want to see and talk to someone face to face. What are the fees involved in the programs? Do you have to pay them monthly too? I just need all the information I can get right now.

Okay I admit I screwed up and went on a spending fee while in college and now I’m paying for it. I recently got laid off from my job, but this didn’t stop the bills from coming. I’ll tried ever thing in my power to set up a payment plan with my credit cards but now that I’m behind and most of the cards are in collection nobody want to work with me. Most of my credit cards are with a debt management program and some I’m making the minum payment, but there are some that are in collection and I don’t like the way the reps talk to me. They’re telling me that the account must pay the full amount as if I’m made of money. I’ve explained to them that I can’t do this, but was willing to set up a payment plan. One credit card in collection I owe $1297.25 on it, but when I told them I could pay $25 to $30 a month until other credit cards are paid off and I’ll raise the amount they laugh in my face. Their offer was to settle and pay $800.00. I can’t do this. I have other bills to pay! Please help!

There are companies on the internet that say they can get credit card debt written off legally due to changes in the consumer credit act, apparenty an individuals credit rating would not be effected. This would not be part of any debt management problem, a fully solvert indidual would be able to do this, sounds like a con to me, anyone know anyhting about it?

Ive been told they can help me sort my debt problem with a thing called a financial management plan.

i owe £12,500 and i said i could probably afford to pay back £200 total a month towards my debt, ive been told that i can do it, but it’d take about 82mths to become totally debt free.

seems too good to be true, and i dont want to agree to something that could mess me up more than i am already.
was wondering how legit these people are as i havent heard of them before, and i dont want to be screwed over even more by finance people.

I cant find any reviews of their services online either. anyone?
lol sorry, title should be ‘has anyone ever HAD dealings with valour financial management? ‘
